Friend,

When dark money groups want to know which incumbents are vulnerable, they look at FEC fundraising reports for clues. These reports show how much each candidate raised – and how many people chipped in.

We have to file our first report of 2022 in a few days, and we're about $25,000 short of where we were at this point in 2020. If we had to file today, the dark money groups looking to unseat me would be thrilled.

Thankfully, we have a few days left to close the gap. Will you chip in $22 or another amount now to help us finish the quarter strong and run another winning campaign?

I'll be blunt: Low fundraising numbers are like blood in the water to these groups.

Word spreads to every right-wing dark money donor, and before you know it, you're seeing attack ads with your picture on TV, paid for by a faceless organization from some other state. It's an experience I wouldn't wish on anyone.

Together, we can avoid that vitriol altogether. If we can beat expectations this quarter, dark money groups will get a clue that Minnesota's 3rd is standing firm on the side of progress – not the extreme, divisive, hateful turn the GOP has taken.

So what do you say, Friend? Will you chip in before our March 31 deadline to help close the gap in our fundraising and keep the House blue?

We can't let the Republican agenda gain steam – not after all we've built – so thanks for whatever you can give today.

With gratitude,

Dean
