We have a huge end of quarter deadline coming up in just two days, and now more than ever we need to show that Mainers are ready to reject Paul LePage and his far-right Republican donors. National Republican groups have already sent $4 million to the Maine GOP to attack Janet Mills and prop up LePage. The GOP is targeting Maine because they know that Paul LePage and Maine Republicans will enact their far right, anti-democratic agenda if they win in November.

We need to stop them.

Our end-of-quarter deadline is less than 48 hours away, and we need to raise $10,000 to show the GOP that we’re not backing down. This is a big one, John, so $5 or whatever you can spare will make a big difference. [link removed]

What would another LePage administration look like? All you have to do is look to LePage’s favorite state (Florida) to see how extreme Republicans have become. Ron DeSantis just signed Florida’s “Don’t Say Gay” bill, which threatens any teacher with jail time if they even mention the existence of LGBTQ people in school. We cannot allow similar bigoted legislation in Maine.

While Republican governors around the country have spent their time in office passing bigoted anti-LGBTQ+ legislation, telling Americans which books they can read, and stripping away voting rights, Maine has made incredible progress under Governor Mills’s practical and pragmatic leadership.

Under Gov. Mills we have expanded voting rights and affordable health care, vaccinated and protected Mainers from COVID, and adjusted our economy to support small businesses and tourism while keeping COVID deaths at one of the lowest rates in the nation.

A return to Paul LePage and the Maine GOP would mean a return to the politics and policies that hurt our schools, tanked our economies, and let the opioid epidemic flourish. Maine can’t afford another term of Paul LePage.

This November is a choice between the progress and pragmatism of Gov. Mills or Paul LePage’s chaotic culture war. We need your help to spread the word.
