John – just got out of a meeting where we heard end-of-quarter updates from our campaigns, litigation, and finance teams. Keep reading for all that info, but first, I have to ask: Can you chip in just $5 to help us hit our quarterly goal?
Campaigns
- Some states still have not adopted congressional maps, like FL, LA, MO, NH, OH.
- FL Gov. DeSantis threatened to veto the GOP’s manipulated maps because they’re not manipulated enough! Ridiculous!
Litigation
- Mostly good news from lower courts so far, but SCOTUS’s decisions have been mixed.
- Republicans are showing their true colors – they’re willing to destroy checks and balances within states if it means they get gerrymandered maps!
- Lots and lots of ongoing litigation in states from TX to OH to LA.
Fundraising
- Fundraising Team is monitoring progress toward our end-of-quarter goal daily – not there yet.
- Mobilization and Grassroots Fundraising Director Ben says, “Please let our online supporters know that their donations will be critical to our second-quarter work."
