In a moment, I’m going to ask you to make a donation to our campaign to keep CA-49 blue. We're coming up a bit short of our fundraising goal this quarter, so I wanted to explain why your support is so critical -- especially right now.

This Thursday marks our first public FEC deadline of 2022. This is a big one for a couple of reasons:

1. The fundraising number we post could be the deciding factor for Republican super PACs looking to make a push in CA-49. A strong report could scare them away, but a poor showing may mean a surge in dark money spending against us.


2. We are launching an unprecedented field effort into the new areas of the 49th district where voters will be casting ballots in my race for the first time. Funding this effort will take more resources than usual.

We’re working toward a $45,000 online fundraising goal before Thursday at midnight when the books close, but right now, we’re short. Can I count on you to contribute $3 before our FEC deadline to keep our momentum going?
