Elections Committee law to make our campaign’s Q1 fundraising numbers
public.

The first thing our opponents, their super PACs, and the press will look
for is how much money our campaign was able to raise in the last three
months.

But we know there’s another number that’s just as important, if not *more*
important: How many people are inspired to actually chip in + support our
people powered campaign.

That’s why, for our end-of-quarter fundraising goal, we’re setting a
different type of goal. Not one based on how much you can or cannot chip
in, but instead focused on the power of our grassroots campaign.

Look, when we say that reporters and our campaign opponents are eagerly
awaiting to learn how much money we raised in Q1, we’re being completely
upfront with you. They’ll use our FEC fundraising number to make
judgements about our campaign and try to control the narrative.

Why? Because this is our *last* FEC quarterly fundraising deadline before
our primary election. This is the last big number we get to share to prove
to everyone our movement has the grassroots power to win the primary in
May, and then the general election in November.

Here’s the deal, John: If we
want to continue being *the* winning grassroots campaign in a crowded race
