We have serious work to do to make sure voters know who Katie is and what she stands for.
Dark money groups are already running ads attacking Katie and misrepresenting the work she’s done in Congress.
Many voters will see these ads—and it will be the first thing they learn about Katie. Various polls have shown that less than half of Americans know who their congressional representative is, so we know we need to introduce Katie to hundreds of thousands of voters. To add to that challenge, because of redistricting, nearly 70% of the voters in our district are not currently represented by Katie, so it’s even more likely that they don’t yet know much about her.
That’s why we’re already running ads, knocking doors, and reaching voters in every corner of CA-47. Live from the minivan—check out this video of Katie getting ready to go campaign in new parts of the district.
