Urge Your Senators to Cosponsor the Palestinian International Terrorism Support Prevention Act

 

Hamas and Palestinian Islamic Jihad (PIJ) are Iranian-backed Palestinian terrorist organizations dedicated to the destruction of Israel and regularly launch attacks against the Jewish state.  Just last week these terrorist groups fired more than 450 rockets at Israel.

The Palestinian International Terrorism Support Prevention Act of 2019 (S. 2680) sanctions those that support Hamas and PIJ's terrorist activities.  The bipartisan legislation is authored by Sens. Marco Rubio (R-FL) and Richard Blumenthal (D-CT).  Similar legislation passed the House in July 2019.

• Hamas and Palestinian Islamic Jihad (PIJ) are dedicated to the destruction of Israel and are responsible for countless attacks on Israelis and for the deaths of numerous Americans.  Both groups have been designated as Foreign Terrorist Organizations by the U.S. and European Union. 
 

• The Palestinian International Terrorism Support Prevention Act imposes sanctions on foreign states, agencies or persons that assist, sponsor, or provide support for the terrorist activities of Hamas or PIJ. 
 

• The United States must continue to stand by Israel and work to cut the flow of resources to these anti-Israel terrorist groups.
