Hi Friend,

As you know, Greg Abbott has never prioritized the millions of teachers and students in our state. And now, he’s using our children’s education to score political points yet again.

Texas students, teachers, and schools are hurting under Abbott’s anti-education agenda.

Abbott has failed year after year to fully fund our schools and fairly compensate our teachers. Abbott has done nothing to prevent school shootings. Abbott put our families’ lives at risk during the pandemic. Instead, he spends his time telling our kids what bathroom to use and what sports they’re not allowed to play.

But apparently, Greg Abbott needs to put together a task force to get to the bottom of why Texas teachers are leaving the profession in droves.

Friend, we don’t need another task force. We need a new governor.

Let me make one thing perfectly clear. Greg Abbott and Texas Republicans are the reason for teacher burnout. Our children’s education is suffering, and it’s Texas Republicans’ fault. Plain and simple.

Texas Democrats know how valuable our teachers are to our state -- how important it is to educate the next generation of Texas leaders. Our students and their families deserve better. So I’m asking: will you rush a $7 contribution before our critical end of quarter deadline to fire Greg Abbott and elect leaders who will fight to protect our Texas teachers?

Let’s keep fighting,
