Twelve million people need assistance currently because of the war in Ukraine. More than 6.5 million are displaced internally. And in less than three weeks, over 3.5 million people have left Ukraine and fled into neighboring countries. Nearly 2 million among them are women and children. Since the conflict began, nearly every second, one child from Ukraine becomes a refugee.

World leaders must step up and pledge billions of dollars for emergency relief now. Ukrainian President Zelenskyy issued a call for people to Stand Up for Ukraine, and grassroots advocates are already responding, sharing their stories and an urgent call for the world to stand up.
Global Citizen, in partnership with the European Commission and the Government of Canada, are hosting “Stand Up for Ukraine," a global campaign to raise funds to support the humanitarian needs of people fleeing Ukraine and to support refugees everywhere.
