Each year, I ask Jim what he wants for his birthday.

 

Each year, his answer isn't complicated: to make things a little bit better for our Massachusetts friends and neighbors who are experiencing hunger.

 

That's why, each year around his birthday, Jim puts on his walking shoes and hits the road with Monte's March in the fight to end hunger.

 

For two days, he marches alongside Monte, and a number of supporters -- all while pushing a shopping cart -- 43 miles from Springfield to Greenfield to raise awareness about hunger in our region and money for The Food Bank of Western Massachusetts.
