Hi John,
I've been involved with NIAC since November of 2009. I started as the NIAC's Policy Director, crafting and advocating for policies that put Iranian-American issues at the forefront. We built alliances with Congress and the White House and grew an organization that finally gave voice to our community.
Since I started at NIAC we've faced many challenges– and we've overcome many of them. I'm so proud of this team and our supporters for making this organization one that has teeth and can fight tirelessly, with success.
A few years ago when I became the President of NIAC, I promised that I would grow the organization to build lasting power. To do that, we need to give Iranian Americans a seat at the table — and young Iranian-American leaders, especially. This organization, which has been in existence for 20 years now, will be around for another 20 and then another 20. The work to build the next bench of leaders is happening right now.
That's why it's so important that our supporters continue to be investors in our efforts — not just investing money but also investing time, ideas, and energy into our movement — all in an effort to continue growing our vibrant community.
As of the writing of this email, Hamid told me we're $4,000 shy of our end-of-quarter online fundraising goal, and we've only got only three more days to hit that goal.
Can I count on you to donate so we can keep advocating for the priorities of the Iranian-American community? If you can contribute, please donate here: https://secure.everyaction.com/dXRQ_IzacUiyf0Yp33UCCQ2
Remember your donation is 100% tax deductible.
Thank you, John.
Jamal
