A Personal Message from Congresswoman Katie Porter:

I’m not your average politician, John, and Congress wasn’t built for people like me.

I’m a single, working mom of three who drives a minivan back and forth between home and school. When I was elected in 2018 I was the only single mom in Congress, but there’s not a doubt in my mind that being a parent makes me better at my job as a representative.

My kids are my motivation for everything I do. That’s why I’ve spent my time in Congress fighting for affordable childcare, paid family and medical leave, and an economy that works for working people.

If you’re with me in this fight, split a donation of $25 or whatever you can between my people-powered campaign and Hold the House to protect our House majority.

Before I was a Member of Congress, I was a professor. That’s why you may know me as the Congresswoman who uses a whiteboard and dry erase marker to expose incompetent Trump Administration officials and greedy Wall Street CEOs.

As a professor, I taught consumer protection law. So I know firsthand that special interests and massive corporations are taking advantage of Americans – but we can fight back, and that’s why Democrats must keep the House this November

The bad news is Republicans only need to flip five seats to take back the majority, and my seat is one of the closest battleground races in the country.

I’m never going to back down from the job when the going gets tough, but I need your support. Ahead of our end of quarter deadline on March 31, will you chip in $25 or more that will be split between my campaign and Hold the House?
