The impeachment hearings are in full swing in Congress right now, but they are only focusing on one main topic - Trump’s attempted extortion of Ukraine, withholding aid to force the Ukrainian government to investigate Biden’s son. This is illegal on many counts, but it is just one instance of Trump’s abuses of power as President. Indivisible SF has demanded a broadened scope of impeachment inquiry against Trump, including his crimes against immigrants and their children, extensive corruption and maladministration, racism, and other attacks on the American people.
For this purpose, Indivisible SF, Indivisible East Bay (IEB) and other groups are teaming up to hold our very own model Impeachment hearing. We will read and discuss Articles of Impeachment that we believe should be presented against Trump. These include:
- Racist, sexist, bigoted and anti-LGBTQ policies and abuses;
- Corruption and graft;
- Undermining national security and sovereignty, US elections and foreign relations;
- Intentional maladministration, including of healthcare policy;
- Neglect and destruction of the global climate and the natural environment.
Want to help? Sign up on this Google form to join in, or RSVP and join us as we record videos at Indivisible East Bay’s annual potluck in Berkeley at 1pm on Sunday, November 24th. And, plan to join the San Francisco recording session on the afternoon of Sunday, December 8th, at the Women’s Building. Follow the latest on the #impeachment_news and #impeachment_action Slack channels.
Have you signed up for our meeting with the staff of Sen. Harris? The meeting is Thursday, Dec 11th at 11:00am at 333 Bush St. and the deadline to sign up is December 4th. Pre-Meeting Gathering at 10:30am at Illy Café at 220 Montgomery St. If you’d like to sign up, fill out this form.
Call to Action: Tell your MoC's to hold strong on the National Defense Authorization Act. It is now being reported that House and Senate negotiators are trying to finalize a National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) that may be voted on before the Thanksgiving recess. This is a Power of the Purse issue where Congress has real leverage against Trump's agenda. Tell your MoC’s to make sure the NDAA restricts the President’s war powers.

Impeachment Phone Banking Opportunity from Indivisible National: Sign up on Indivisible National’s HubDialer to make calls to voters connecting them to their senators to demand a complete and fair impeachment trial.
Indivisible National identified 13 senators who really need to hear from their constituents, both those who are vulnerable because they’re up for reelection next year, and those who are retiring and worrying about their legacies. Now we are asking you to call voters in these states and ask them to turn up the pressure on their elected officials. You will be talking to voters about the power they have now to pressure their Members of Congress, and you will patch them through to their senator. Sign up here.
