For the last few months, I’ve covered nothing else besides the debate in Austin ISD on whether to close schools. It has been the most exhausting, educational and important period of my career as a journalist. Everyone sees closures through a different lens: as a business decision, an emotional change, a sign of disrespect, or an act of opening old wounds. Things came to a head Monday when the school board
