Keeping the House blue relies on protecting just a few key House districts, and Matt Cartwright is one of the most vulnerable Democrats running for re-election. He won in 2020 with less than 4% of the vote in a district that went for Trump, and his district is just as competitive this cycle.

The end of the quarter means that campaign finances will go public in April, allowing Kevin McCarthy and his dark money funders an opportunity to audit the funds of all the most vulnerable Democrats. If they notice any weakness, they will be sure to move forward with even more attack ads.

We’re still eight months out from Election Day, and we’re already seeing Republicans invest whatever they can in hopes of taking back the House. We simply cannot let that happen.
