The sham impeachment hearings have already done extensive damage to those things in which we used to have confidence, i.e., open hearings, witnesses for both sides, and freedom for all investigators involved to question those witnesses. As was demonstrated last week, the witnesses had not actually witnessed anything, but that didn't stop the media from touting their patriotism and courage.
