John – I talk to you a lot about how competitive and expensive the race for VA-02 is, but today I want to talk to you about how we’re going to win.
Before I get into that, I have to ask – will you chip in $25 or more to my campaign? I’m coming up on my critical FEC deadline in just FOUR days, and right now I’m falling behind.
Meet voters where they’re at
We’re going to win by meeting voters where they’re at – my team and I will be traveling to every corner of VA-02 to meet and talk to voters about the issues that matter to them most, like climate action and affordable healthcare.
Coastal Virginians are at the core of this campaign, and everything I fight for in Congress is a reflection of that. My opponent is worried about winning Trump’s approval and toeing the Republican Party line, but my top priority will always be you.
Build a powerful grassroots team
We’re going to win by building a powerful grassroots team – that’s where you come in. I need all hands on deck to take on the national Republicans who will be flooding this race with millions of dollars in outside spending to support my opponent.
Every time you chip in, knock doors, make phone calls, fill out a petition, or talk about my campaign to a friend or neighbor, you are strengthening this team’s grassroots power and our ability to stand up to the GOP who desperately want to flip my seat.
Hit every fundraising goal until November
We’re going to win by hitting every fundraising goal until the election – but right now, we aren’t on track to hit our end-of-quarter goal.
This month is different, John – it marks the first FEC fundraising deadline of the election year, which means that we’ll have to publicly report our numbers. Everyone will be looking at our fundraising progress to assess if we have the resources to keep VA-02 blue.
John – will you chip in $25 or more to my end-of-quarter fundraising goal today? I’m falling behind, and if we don’t hit this goal, we won’t be able to travel to meet voters, hire staff to train our incredible volunteers, or stand up to the GOP’s mega-donors.
I hope I made it clear that you’re a vital part of this grassroots team, and that I can’t win this race without you.
– Elaine
