John -- The cost of insulin isn’t determined by supply and
demand. It’s really just three companies setting a price based on how many
deaths and amputations the market will bear until people start rioting.
In a moment, I’m going to ask you to [ [link removed] ]chip in anything you can to my
campaign for U.S. Senate in Missouri before our major FEC deadline this
week. But first, will you give me a moment to explain what I mean?
Big Pharma knows for the millions of Americans who live with diabetes,
access to insulin isn’t elective -- it’s a matter of survival. That’s
exactly why Eli Lilly, Novo-Nordisk, and Sanofi hiked up the cost of
insulin, with prices for some standard vials going from $21 to well over
$275 per vial.
While corporate profits have skyrocketed, 1 in 4 people with diabetes now
say they’ve had to ration their insulin. People are dying -- and corrupt
politicians keep trying to tell us it’s normal.
None of this is new -- it’s been going on for years. Thanks to an army of
lobbyists and millions of dollars in corporate PAC checks, the politicians
and bureaucrats in Washington who are supposed to protect us have instead
spent all this time protecting Big Pharma.
I can’t accept a status quo that lets a dangerous cartel profit off
killing everyday Americans. I know you can’t either. That’s why I’m
building a grassroots movement to fundamentally change who has power in
our country -- starting with taking this U.S. Senate seat back for
everyday people.
[ [link removed] ]So please, can you add a donation of $3 or any amount you think is best
before our major FEC deadline on Thursday? I don’t take a single cent from
corporate PACs, so I mean it when I say a donation of any amount makes a
huge difference.
John, unlike Roy Blunt or Josh Hawley, I’m not afraid to call
these companies out for what they are: A dangerous cartel that’s killing
everyday Americans.
When I’m elected to the U.S. Senate, I’ll work to do more than just break
up Big Pharma and get free insulin to any American who needs it -- I want
to see these corrupt corporations prosecuted for what they've done to us.
And I can promise you this: I’ll fight like hell against any corrupt
politician who gets in my way -- in OUR way.
Thanks for being a part of making this happen.
