We're sounding the alarm, John: Experts are warning Latinos will again be flooded with malicious misinformation ahead of the midterms, just like in 2020. According to those experts, countering that misinformation will be "important for American democracy.”

Researchers wrote that "findings of this study suggest that Latinos are affected by a different misinformation environment than reaches the U.S. population at large, and are often targeted in ways specific to their national backgrounds." Which means that the majority of the country has no idea how big of a problem this is!
And don’t forget that Latinos make up a significant and growing share of the total voting-age population and vary greatly in location, age, political belief, and class. That is to say: Threats to Latino voters are a threat to U.S. democracy as a whole.
This is exactly why we launched the Latino Anti-Disinformation Lab last year to help inoculate Latinx voters against disinformation. Will you rush a donation now to help us keep up our work before it’s too late?

Our researchers are currently investigating the spread of disinformation in the Latinx community, and we’re anxious to get the results and share their findings with you so we can better counter that disinformation going forward.
But in the meantime, we’re counting on your grassroots support to keep this critical work going. Will you pitch in anything you can right now to help us protect our democracy from coordinated misinformation campaigns?
