In the history of the U.S. Supreme Court, there have been 115 justices.
108 of them have been white men, and not one has been a Black woman.

But this week, for the first time in history, the Senate is considering a
Black woman — Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson — to serve on our country’s
highest court.

Ketanji Brown Jackson is bold, principled, qualified, and dedicated to
justice, and she would be our first public defender to serve on the
Supreme Court.

From voting rights and reproductive freedom to housing rights and
corporate accountability, we’ve witnessed how this far-right Supreme Court
has obstructed the will of the people.

At this moment, it’s critical that we have Supreme Court justices like
Ketanji Brown Jackson, who will work toward a vision of justice that is
inclusive and equitable, and recognize the dignity and humanity of the
communities the Court’s decisions will impact.

But GOP Senators and the far-right media are working to derail this
historic and long overdue confirmation with racist and misogynistic
attacks. So, we need to
show a groundswell of support from our movement.

[ [link removed] ]We need Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson on the bench, and the Senate is set
to vote soon. Will you please add your name to join Ayanna in calling on
the Senate to confirm her nomination without delay?

In solidarity,

The A-Team
