LOWERING COSTS & ADDRESSING RISING PRICES:

For too long, Big Pharma has raised prescription drug prices even though the cost of manufacturing many of these drugs has remained the same. (Pharmaceutical companies raised prices on 800 medications this year alone.) Sherrod introduced a measure that would penalize companies for increasing medication prices without justification and allow Medicare to negotiate lower prices for seniors. 

Likewise, Big Oil companies have seen their profits soar over pre-pandemic levels while gas prices continue to skyrocket. Sherrod is leading efforts to hold oil companies accountable for price-gouging and deliver a direct rebate to consumers who are paying more than ever at the gas pump.

REVITALIZING MANUFACTURING & CREATING JOBS:

Sherrod and Democrats are burying the term “rust belt” by making historic investments to revitalize American manufacturing. That’s how we can shorten supply chains, make our economy more competitive globally, and create good-paying jobs for American workers. You can already see the results in the Intel factory that’s coming to Ohio and will create 10,000 jobs.
