What's New At Health Affairs
This week in Health Affairs Forefront, authors covered topics including health equity, Medicare Advantage, and inter partes review with drug patents.

Michael Bailit and Deepti Kanneganti outline four types of health equity performance measures.

In providing this typology, the authors aim to help states, insurers, and providers assess and reduce inequities in health care.

Mariam Krikorian Atkinson and coauthors examine the challenges and advantages that rural hospitals have faced during the pandemic.

Based on conversations with emergency management leaders at 12 different hospitals, the authors glean several lessons for rural hospitals responding to a crisis.

J. Michael McWilliams considers the future of the Medicare Advantage (MA) program. At its current rate of growth, MA is on track to reach 69 percent of the Medicare population by the end of 2030.

Stefan Wheat and coauthors write about the need to improve recordkeeping in health care in order to document the impacts of climate change on public health.
