On Monday, President Biden will release his official budget, a reflection of his administration’s top spending priorities, and the official start to the next round of budget negotiations.

Here’s why this moment is so crucial: This month, Congress passed a budget that gives even more money to immigration enforcement than Trump did. That’s a direct failure of leadership from the Democrats we helped elect in 2018 and 2020. 

That’s why we launched a national Jewish petition calling on President Biden to keep his promises to immigrant communities and voters and hold dangerous agencies like ICE and CBP accountable. We believe budgets are a reflection of our moral values, and our communities need to make our voices heard.
