Washington, D.C.
A law student named Joshua stole the show at a recent 40 Days for Life rally in the nation's capital.
"Joshua told a story about a college senior who supported legal abortion," Dr. New said. "She took a pregnancy test...and the result came back positive. She knew that she could terminate the pregnancy..."
But when this pro-choice expectant mother saw a bumper sticker that read, "Abortion Stops a Beating Heart," she was convicted to carry the pregnancy to term.
"Joshua had a powerful message: Everything helps!" Dr. New continued. "Any little thing might change somebody's mind...a bumper sticker, a social media post, prayer, sidewalk counseling. You never know who you might influence."
Joshua closed his speech with a surprise twist: He was the baby saved by the bumper sticker. And now he's helping save other moms and babies from abortion.
The Washington campaign has saved three lives this Lent.
