Congresswoman Lesko Weekly Update

Good Afternoon,

This week, I was back home in the great state of Arizona!

Lesko Stands Up Against Acts of Anti-Semitism

Image
I joined Congresswoman Maria Salazar’s (R-FL-27) resolution to hold those who bombed the Embassy of Israel in Buenos Aires, Argentina on March 17, 1992, accountable and bring them to justice! Acts of hatred must never be tolerated.

Lesko Joins Efforts to Expand Broadband Across America

Image

To reduce the telecommunications sector’s labor shortage, I cosponsored Congressman Tim Walberg's (R-MI-07) Telecommunications Skilled Workforce Act. Increasing the number of workers in the telecommunications sector will enhance our nation's access to broadband and 5G technology.

GET THE FACTS: Phoenix Becomes the No. 1 Hotspot for Inflation in the Nation

As you may have heard, Phoenix has become America’s top hotspot for inflation. Prices in Arizona have increased by 9.7 percent from last year. Due to Democrats’ outrageous spending, inflation has hit a 40-year high. Those who are making over $300K might find this bearable, however, for the other 98 percent of Americans, this means that serious sacrifices have to be made. The reality for most Americans is that they have to lower their standard of living to compensate for the Democrats’ fiscal irresponsibility in Washington, D.C. From the gas pump to the grocery store, Arizonans have far less purchasing power because of Democrat policies.

Encouraging Story

I am delighted to share this story about a Valley entrepreneur donating $500,000 to the Boys and Girls Club of the Valley! Justin Bayless used to play basketball at the Boys and Girls Club after school when he was a child. His very first paycheck came from the Boys and Girls Club in 1997. He went on to become a successful entrepreneur without forgetting where he came from. He donated $500,000 to the Boys and Girls Club of the Valley to create the Bayless Entrepreneurship Program, which offers internships at various companies and teaches teens the fundamentals of business. I am so proud of Justin’s success story and his efforts to give back to the kids in his community.
