The U.S. Attorney's Office has issued subpoenas to state officials and Senate employees on money Benjamin steered to projects in his former Harlem Senate District. This isn't Benjamin's first brush with the law--in fact, his corruption is well-documented, but Kathy Hochul picked him anyway. The Hochul-Benjamin Administration is just as corrupt as the Cuomo-Hochul one. The Daily News said "Benjamin’s tenure as lieutenant governor has been clouded by several ethical missteps and spending scandals from his time in the Legislature and his comptroller run.
