President Biden has nominated Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson to serve on the Supreme Court. This is a historic nomination — of the 115 justices who have served on the Supreme Court bench, 108 have been white men. There has never been a Black woman on the bench, and there have only been three justices of color in the court’s entire history.
Soon, the Senate Judiciary Committee will conduct a confirmation hearing. Then, the full Senate will take a vote. We are calling on the SJC and the Senate to not delay a confirmation.

Judge Jackson is EXTREMELY qualified to serve on the Supreme Court.
In June 2021, the Senate confirmed her to serve on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the D.C. Circuit, largely seen as the second most powerful court in the country. Previously, she served on the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia for eight and a half years. Judge Jackson has been confirmed three times by the Senate — twice unanimously,
and all with bipartisan support.
This is a historic nomination. There is no reason for a “no” vote or delays of any kind. We are demanding the Senate ensure that by confirming Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson without delay!
