John,
As workers at Starbucks stores in Massachusetts and across the country are organizing to form a union, Starbucks has begun a disgusting process of retaliation against their efforts.
Starbucks is following the exact same pattern they have in other states when workers have tried to unionize — cutting their hours, arbitrary write-ups, and pressure from management.
This is union-busting and it’s not acceptable. Not in Massachusetts and not anywhere.
Add your name to this petition and join me in standing with Starbucks workers’ efforts to unionize in the face of harmful retaliation.

Every worker has the right to unionize and fight for better working conditions. That’s why I fully support these workers and their movement. I’m calling on Starbucks to stop forcing out pro-union workers and commit to a Fair Election Agreement with its workers.
Starbucks has an opportunity to make sure their workers have a living wage and a seat at the table. Instead, they have chosen to intimidate and bully workers into accepting less than what they deserve.
This isn’t the first time I’ve witnessed Starbucks prioritize profit over the wellbeing of their employees. I have taken on Starbucks on behalf of these employees before — and won back more than $14 million in stolen tips.
As Massachusetts Attorney General, I will continue to fight for workers’ rights to unionize, to have livable wages, and better work environments. I will always stand up to corporations like this when I see them stepping on workers in favor of their own profits.
I hope you will sign on to show your support for workers and union organizers and help send a message to Starbucks — this aggressive behavior will not be tolerated in Massachusetts.
In solidarity,
Shannon Liss-Riordan
