John,
The federal government is endangering lives and the climate by continuing the reckless development of liquefied natural gas (LNG) infrastructure.
LNG is a highly explosive form of fracked gas with a lifecycle that results in so much methane leakage and greenhouse gas emissions it can be even worse for the climate than coal!
Under Trump, frackers were allowed to move LNG by rail – these dangerous “bomb trains” moved through cities and towns. Now the Pipeline and Hazardous Materials Safety Administration (PHMSA) is dragging its feet on whether to reverse Trump's policy and ban LNG "bomb trains" once and for all. Help them make the right decision by adding your voice.
Urge President Biden and PHMSA to ban the transport of liquified natural gas by rail!

In New Jersey, a Special Permit for an LNG export terminal in Gibbstown would allow trains with up to 100 cars to run twice a day through heavily populated communities. Transportation of LNG in rail cars endangers millions of people along the route with the potential for catastrophic accidents, leaks, and even explosions.
It’s time for the federal government to take action and stop LNG transport by rail before a preventable disaster takes place. Demand that president Biden and PHMSA deny special permits to transport LNG by rail.

Stop LNG by Rail!

President Biden said he was going to address the climate crisis, but allowing more LNG transport by rail would be a climate disaster.
To prevent the worst impacts of climate change, we need to move off fossil fuels, ban fracking everywhere and keep fracked gas out of our communities. President Biden and PHMSA have the power to take an important step in that direction by halting fracked gas transport by rail — and they must act now.
Add your voice: Tell President Biden and the PHMSA to stop the "bomb trains"!

Thanks for taking action,
