John, you need to see this:
We just released the findings from our December 2021 survey with progressive polling firm Data for Progress — and no surprise, the majority of young people want bold climate action that our government isn’t currently delivering.
But while a majority of young voters support federal action, they have mixed feelings about our federal lawmakers’ ability to actually meaningfully address climate change. And who can blame them when we constantly see the outsized influence that corporations and special interest groups wield?
It’s not too late for President Biden and Congress to act and prove our doubts wrong — these results should give them even more motivation to do so.
John, it’s never been clearer that young voters want federal lawmakers to act ambitiously and finally tackle climate change. Will you donate $10 or any amount to support Sunrise’s efforts to fight for a Green New Deal?
These results give President Biden and lawmakers in Congress the mandate to act decisively and swiftly to enact bold climate solutions — making clear that both their success in the 2022 midterms and the fate of our planet — may depend on it.
There is still time to address climate change — but only if we act quickly and listen to young people.
In solidarity,
Team Sunrise
