<[link removed]> Governor Hogan Calls on General Assembly to
Pass Citizens Redistricting Commission Maps Following Monumental Court Victory
<[link removed]>

<[link removed]>

Statement from Governor Larry Hogan:

“For nearly eight years, we have been fighting to end the gerrymandering
monopoly that has for too long been a shameful legacy of our state. This ruling
is a monumental victory for every Marylander who cares about protecting our
democracy, bringing fairness to our elections, and putting the people back in
charge. It puts in plain view the partisan, secretive, and rigged process that
led to the legislature’s illegal and unconstitutional maps.

“I call on the General Assembly to immediately pass the independent Citizens
Redistricting Commission maps that were written with accountability and
transparency.

“This is an historic milestone in our fight to clean up the political process
in our state, and ensure that the voices of the people we are elected to serve
are finally heard.”

“Enough Far-Left Woke Politics” Governor Hogan Announces Major Violent Crime
Initiatives, Urges Legislature To Pass Common Sense Bills Holding Violent
Criminals Accountable
<[link removed]>

With crime skyrocketing in communities across the country, Governor Hogan is
continuing to take action to address this crisis.

At a press conference, Governor Hogan announced $45 million for major violent
crime initiatives, including unprecedented resources for federal prosecutors,
more resources to expand warrant initiatives in Baltimore City, and additional
funding to protect victim services providers from devastating federal cuts.
This is in addition to Governor Hogan’s“Re-Fund The Police” initiative
<[link removed]>
to put $500 million of additional funding into law enforcement.

Calling out the “far-left woke politics” that has been holding up his common
sense proposals to make sure violent criminals are prosecuted and held
accountable, Governor Hogan urged the legislature to finally pass these
emergency bills. Nearly 82% of homicide suspects in Maryland have a previous
record while an overwhelming majority of Marylanders support Governor Hogan’s
bill to ensure tougher sentences for violent criminals.

With warnings of cyber attacks from Russia, Maryland is taking these threats

Maryland is the first state in the nation to pass bipartisan legislation to
suspend the gas tax. Instead of just arguing about who is to blame for higher
gas prices, we put politics aside and worked together to take immediate action
to help Marylanders with the pain at the pump.pic.twitter.com/1k11ZlkqL5
