** North Dakota Family Alliance Legislative Action Endorses U.S. Senator John Hoeven

North Dakota Family Alliance Legislative Action is pleased to endorse Senator John Hoeven for the North Dakota 2022 U.S. Senate race.

Throughout his career, Senator Hoeven has consistently supported policies that protect our family values and strengthen our communities. From his unwavering pro-life record, to help confirm a record number of conservative judges, including three justices to the United States Supreme Court, Senator Hoeven works every day to protect faith, family, and freedoms.

Recently, Senator Hoeven signed onto an amicus brief to urge the U.S. Supreme Court to uphold Mississippi's law protecting life and prohibiting abortion after fifteen weeks of pregnancy (Dobbs v. Jackson Women's Health Organization). This case, and many others, highlight how critical it was to put Neil Gorsuch, Brett Kavanaugh, and Amy Coney Barrett on the Supreme Court. He has been a steadfast supporter of the Hyde Amendment to prevent federal funding of abortions, and has also cosponsored numerous bills to protect life, including the Life at Conception Act, the Conscience Protection Act of 2021, Born-Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act, and the Pain-Capable Unborn Child Protection Act.

Senator Hoeven fights for religious and personal freedom as well, whether it's in our schools or elsewhere. He voted against the effort to overturn the Hobby Lobby case that upheld the Religious Freedom Restoration Act, and cosponsored a resolution to affirm the importance of religious freedom as a fundamental human right. He has pushed back against COVID-19 mandates including voting for a measure that would stop the private employer vaccine mandate; voting to eliminate the health care worker vaccine mandate; voting multiple times to take funding away from the federal COVID-19 mandates; cosponsoring a bill to take away the Head Start teacher and volunteer vaccine and mask mandates; and leading an effort to fight vaccine mandates for U.S. Department of Agriculture employees.
