Friend,

The confirmation hearings for Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson concluded this
week and as expected, far-right senators on the Senate Judiciary Committee
wasted no time in launching into a full-fledged attack against Judge
Jackson’s record.

Despite these baseless attacks, there were some wonderful moments that not
only highlight Judge Jackson’s incredible and illustrious career, but also
spoke to her character and unwavering integrity.

[ [link removed] ]Did you get a chance to watch the hearings or any coverage of them? Let
us know your thoughts on the hearings and how you plan to engage in the
effort to confirm Judge Jackson to the Supreme Court >>

Start the 5-question survey now:

Q1: Did you watch the hearings live and/or follow news coverage of them?
If so, which Far Right senator do you think made the most egregious
attacks against Judge Jackson?

[ [link removed] ]◯ Ted Cruz – for suggesting that Judge Jackson supports teaching
critical race theory to elementary age children even though CRT is an
academic theory taught in graduate school. >>

◯ Josh Hawley – for repeating unsubstantiated claims about her time as a
judge that even the conservative National Review labeled as “meritless to
the point of demagoguery.” >>

◯ Lindsey Graham – who echoed the baseless attacks made by Sen. Hawley and
went on to berate Democrats on the panel for their treatment of Brett
Kavanaugh during his confirmation hearings. >>

◯ Marsha Blackburn – who launched into an attack on Judge Jackson
regarding abortion rights. >>

◯ Tom Cotton – who criticized Judge Jackson’s service as a public
defender. >>

◯ Someone else >>

◯ I did not watch the hearings or follow any news coverage about them. >>

In the coming weeks we can expect the Senate to wrap up their
deliberations regarding Judge Jackson’s nomination and hold the votes
needed to confirm her to our nation’s highest court. What we do in these
next few days could be crucial to ensuring that we have the number of
votes needed to make sure that Judge Jackson becomes Justice Jackson.
