While Joe Biden’s failed policies have led to soaring gas prices, last week Governor Kemp took action to give some relief for hardworking Georgians. Governor Kemp signed HB304 which suspends the state fuel tax through the end of May. Suspending the state fuel tax will lower gas prices by about 30 cents per gallon, but it may take a few weeks for gas prices to reflect the change.

RETURNING MONEY TO GEORGIA TAXPAYERS |
Georgia is leading the nation in economic recovery because we chose freedom over government lockdowns, and protected both lives and livelihoods when it mattered most.
Because of our conservative policies and strong fiscal position, Governor Kemp signed a historic midyear budget that returns over $1 billion to Georgia taxpayers, restores over $388 million in funding to K-12 education, and invests in our teachers, law enforcement, and state employees. “When government takes in more than it needs, I believe those dollars should be returned to the taxpayer because that is your money — not the government’s.” - Governor Brian Kemp
As a result, Georgia taxpayers will receive a refund of $250 for an individual or $500 for joint filers in the coming weeks.

This week, the Governor spent some time with supporters in Cumming and was welcomed by a huge turnout at the Republican Women of Forsyth County meeting.
Turnout at our Team Kemp events has been incredible.
