This is an urgently challenging time for Jews everywhere.

Antisemitism is an age-old hatred, rising up to threaten generation after generation of Jews. Perhaps it seemed like we were starting to put the hate behind us in the years after World War II, but the truth is that antisemitism was simply hibernating.

Now the vicious hatred of Jews is again awake, creating a global environment of danger for Jews that we haven’t seen in decades.

Radical, extremist, antisemites continue to launch violent attacks on Jewish communities, like the most recent in east Germany where a heavily armed neo-Nazi tried to break his way into the locked doors of a synagogue on Yom Kippur shouting “the root of all these problems is the Jew,” killing two innocent bystanders when he failed to gain entry...

...neo-Nazis and white nationalists are proudly marching in the streets of major cities across the world...

…parliaments in several European countries keep trying to pass laws banning kosher slaughter and male circumcision — age-old cornerstones of the Jewish faith, without which communities cannot survive....

…and the anti-Israel and antisemitic Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions (BDS) movement continues its global efforts to demonize and delegitimize the Jewish state.

These are just a few of the many threats we face today, and while there is cause for grave concern, you have the power to make a real and lasting impact for Jews everywhere in the spirit of #GivingTuesday.
