John,
As Josh’s Campaign Manager, I want to keep you in the loop about what you’ve helped us accomplish so far, and the road ahead. By the end of this email, I hope you’ll make a donation to help us achieve our strategic goals.
Where we are: Right now, we are ending the first quarter of the election year having made significant progress. We’ve hired a small but mighty staff of talented and diverse backgrounds - including our Latino Constituency Director - because of your generous support! We’ve also opened our campaign HQ in Stockton to serve as the hub for our grassroots volunteer efforts.
Now we’re in the “ramp up” phase of the campaign and we have three strategic imperatives to make sure we protect Josh and keep this seat blue.
FIRST: Because of redistricting, 2/3rds of our voters are brand new to Josh - they don’t know anything about Josh, his family or his values. We need to hire more organizers this spring to expand our voter outreach on the phones and doors.
SECOND: Our district is over 30% Latino, and we must listen to and engage with this important community early and often. We are running one of the earliest Latino organizing programs in the country, but we can’t stop there. With your help, we will expand our Latino organizing program into other mediums like TV, radio and digital.
THIRD: We are on the frontlines of combatting GOP misinformation online. Republicans are spending millions to spread conspiracy theories on social media, a lot of it in Spanish, and we must respond with our own messaging just as aggressively. Every contribution we receive will help us communicate with our own Spanish-language ads to dispel these lies and continue our outreach to key voters.
So I’m asking you to please chip in now before Josh’s first end-of-quarter fundraising deadline of 2022 and help us achieve our strategic objectives to keep this seat (and the House) blue. Your support will make a huge difference.
