Imagine this, friend.

You’re a landscaper, working April until October mowing lawns, laying bricks, and planting trees. Then you’re laid off, save for a small boost of cash when folks need you to plow and shovel snow.

Your family still needs to eat in those months. You still need a roof over your head. Your unemployment benefits help cover the costs until you’re hired again in the spring.

This week, Iowa Republicans passed a bill (HF 2355) that cuts unemployment benefits for hardworking Iowans. Not only do they get less of the benefit that they worked to earn, but now they have to wait even longer to get the support they need.

We need more Iowa Democrats in the Iowa Legislature fighting for working families and making sure Iowans get the benefits they’ve earned. Can we count on you to chip in $23.55 right now, in honor of the bill number, to help us flip Iowa blue this fall? [[link removed]]

CHIP IN $23.55 [[link removed]]

At a time when major employers are laying off Iowans across the state, Iowa Republicans are ready to yank the rug out from under working families who are just trying to navigate tough times.

Iowans need leaders who support them from the courthouse to the statehouse and we need your support to get them elected. Anything you can spare can make a huge difference. [[link removed]]

Iowans work hard and they deserve their benefits. We need to make our state a place where people not only want to live, work, and raise a family – but have the support they need when times are tough.

In solidarity,
