John, I know what it takes to win a close race in Northern Virginia.

In November, I was re-elected to the 10th District in the House of Delegates by just 821 votes. Jennifer Wexton was a strong partner in that election, and she dedicated a lot of time (along with her volunteers) toward campaigning for me.

Now, I'm reaching out on Jennifer's behalf, because she has a tough race ahead of her this year. Republicans know how much ground they gained recently in Northern Virginia, and they've made her a target.

Jennifer has a major fundraising deadline at the end of the month. Can you chip in to help her put up a strong number?

My victory was driven by early grassroots support. It allowed me to raise sufficient funds to go on TV well in advance of Election Day. I was able to get my message out in the face of relentless GOP attacks.

Jennifer will need the resources I had (and then some). November may seem a long way off, but the money raised now is essential for the outreach that can make the difference between a narrow victory or a narrow loss.
