immediately or else be impeached.

Dear MoveOn member,

BREAKING: Newly released text messages show the extent to which Supreme
Court Justice Clarence Thomas' wife, Ginni Thomas, actively urged the
Trump White House to overturn the results of the 2020 presidential
election—both leading up to the deadly January 6 insurrection and after.^1

In spite of his wife's active role in this attempted coup, Justice Thomas
participated in a case regarding Trump's records on January 6 and was the
sole justice in an 8-1 ruling who wanted the White House to keep records
hidden—including the texts that just came out.^2

This is a clear conflict of interest, and Thomas' refusal to recuse is the
latest in a long history of using his power to aid a right-wing agenda.^3

[ [link removed] ]Will you add your name to say that because of this abuse of power,
Thomas must resign—or Congress must immediately investigate and impeach
him?

Clarence Thomas must resign from the Supreme Court immediately or else be
impeached.

Thomas' long history and ties with Big Money right-wing organizations and
his wife's leading role in them have been well documented. And for
decades, Thomas has refused to step back from cases that involve his and
his wife's interests.^4

This latest instance is just the most egregious—as it's become clear Ginni
Thomas played a leading role in efforts to overturn the democratic
election results, urging the White House to reject them even after the
deadly insurrection. Thomas' participation in the Supreme Court case on
this matter is only the latest example of his severely compromised sense
of impartiality and morality.

Thomas never should have been confirmed for the court. Now, it is clearer
than ever that he must resign—or Congress must investigate, reveal what he
knew and when he knew it, and impeach.

Want to support our work? Right-wing groups are spending tens of millions
of dollars on TV ads to smear critical progressive legislation. Meanwhile,
donations to progressive groups like MoveOn are plummeting now that a
Democrat is in the White House, meaning we don’t have the resources to
fight back. That's a huge problem, and that's why we urgently need your
support.

Will you chip in to fight right-wing lies and pass urgent legislation to
confront the multiple crises our country faces?
