John,

I just learned that I am the only candidate in this race who has pledged to refuse all corporate PAC money. I'm proud to be running a campaign by and for the people of this district, but it does mean I must rely even more on grassroots donations.

As we approach our first end-of-quarter deadline of 2022 in less than a week, your support is more critical than ever.

This deadline is our last end-of-quarter filing before the primary election. Whatever we publicly report is going to show who has the momentum — and the grassroots support to flip this district from red to blue.

Can I count on you to show your support for our people-powered campaign by contributing $5 or anything you can for the end-of-quarter deadline?

If you've saved your payment information with ActBlue Express, your donation will go through immediately:

Money in politics is exactly why we still don't have universal background checks in this country. It's why our seniors are still getting gouged on prescription drug costs. We have to raise money to compete and win in competitive races like ours, but we do NOT have to compromise our values along the way.

I'm always going to put the right thing ahead of the easy thing. Whether it's my record of taking on the NRA and the petrochemical industry, or now, as the only candidate refusing to take corporate money, I will always put the people first. You can be certain that no one is buying my vote.

But I need you with me, John. I need your support now, ahead of our next end-of-quarter deadline, so we can prove without a doubt that our people-powered campaign is strong enough to flip the 1st. Please chip in $5 or anything you can today. Thank you once again,

Kara
