Team — Derek wants to know your thoughts: Should Congress focus on expanding the Child Tax Credit?

As a dad, Derek knows firsthand that every parent wants their child to have the support they need to be happy and lead successful lives. But, the COVID-19 pandemic was tough on families. That's why Derek helped pass the American Rescue Plan, which included the Child Tax Credit, to provide children and their families with additional relief payments.

But here's the thing, team: the Child Tax Credit expired last December. Nearly four million children fell into poverty the month after, and today, parents are still feeling the squeeze of rising costs.

An expanded Child Tax Credit will put more money in the pockets of hardworking parents to help cover necessities like food, childcare, diapers, healthcare, clothing, and taxes. It will help set up our kids for success. But Derek wants to hear from you:

Do you think Congress should focus on expanding the Child Tax Credit? Take our one-question poll.
