Only one Democrat has ever won a Senate race in Vermont’s history: Senator
Patrick Leahy. This year, he’s retiring after decades of distinguished
service. And in 2020, Vermont’s Republican governor won by 41 points.
Plus, the Senate Republicans’ campaign chair is on record calling this a
“sleeper” race, meaning they think they can pull off the kind of
devastating victory that would give them control of the Senate.
From Medicare for All and a Green New Deal to the future of our Supreme
Court and lowering prescription drug prices—there’s so much at stake with
winning this race and holding onto a Democratic Senate majority.
