John, Speaker Nancy Pelosi said it best: The Republican Party has been “hijacked by a cult” of Trump-loving extremists. Every day, it becomes clearer just how right she is. Right now, Donald Trump is threatening the political futures of his own allies and pitting them against one another by endorsing in Republican primaries with multiple MAGA candidates running. In many cases, the candidates Trump chose didn’t even have real connections to the districts they were running for!

But the Republican candidates snubbed for Trump’s endorsement have one thing in common: They’re still singing the former president’s praises, even as he makes their campaigns harder.
