If local reporters are right, there's a long list of potential opponents being recruited to run against Mayor Lightfoot. The political machine is doing everything in its power to weaken our movement. We've seen the articles; we know that basically anyone with a pulse is being floated in the race for Chicago Mayor.

We also know that Mayor Lori E. Lightfoot is the best person for the job.

Not only is she making Chicago a greener, more sustainable city through major environmental investments, but she's prioritizing Chicagoans' safety with collaborative, community-led approaches to violence reduction. 

However, our work isn't done yet. We have BIG plans for 2022 and beyond — but we need to make it through this quarter first.
