The nuclear negotiations between the U.S. and Iran have been a rollercoaster the last several weeks. Negotiations on the nuclear issue are nearly complete, but the U.S. and Iran continue to negotiate indirectly on the Trump-era sanctions. A deal could still come together quickly if the final obstacles are cleared, but there is no clear timeline on when that might be.

What we do know is that returning to the deal and lifting sanctions will have an immediate and positive impact for regular people in Iran. This month as part of our #ReSealtheDeal campaign, we’ve held more than 60 meetings with Congressional offices to urge them to support the negotiations. And in every one of these meetings our members have shared personal stories about the devastating impact of sanctions.
