Every American deserves equal participation in our political process – including equal access to vote without fear of harassment, intimidation, or interference.
But in the past year, state legislatures around the country have passed restrictive voting laws that go against this cornerstone of our democracy, making it harder for Americans everywhere to make their voices heard at the ballot box.
Our voting laws should reflect our values – that’s why we're calling on our state leaders to protect our essential freedom to vote instead of creating more obstacles, and also to end unfair practices like gerrymandering that silence entire communities in order to lock in permanent partisan advantages.
