This November, we are celebrating National Adoption Month, and we are grateful to supporters like you who help kids in foster care to find their forever families.
Making sure kids have safe, loving, and permanent families is the top priority for Graham. While we work to reunite families whose children are in foster care whenever possible, in some cases, we seek loving adoptive families who are looking for the “missing pieces” in their lives.
Samantha, Isabel, Aaliyah, McKenzie, and Derrick are five Graham kids who each found the family they needed—with each other and with the Pegueros, who fostered then adopted all five of them.
“I think people become a foster parent because kids need love and they need a home,” Mrs. Peguero said. When she asked herself if she could manage five adopted children, Mrs. Peguero, who also has two older biological children, said her heart told her “Yes, you can do it!” She said, “It’s no difference between my biological ones or my adopted ones. They’re the same.”

Fredesvinda Sanchez, our Adoption Supervisor, said it best:
“We all need family. It doesn’t matter the age. We could be 20, 21, 30, 40 and we still need a family. We still need people to be there for us.”
