This legislative session, lawmakers passed six Alliance for Gun Responsibility priority bills into law and provided more than $8M in funding for gun violence prevention programs! We are thrilled that the legislature finally matched the courage of the people of Washington and took action to save lives and keep our communities safe.

* We did it!

Yesterday, surrounded by the Alliance team, legislative champions, and gun violence survivors, Governor Inslee signed our bill to restrict high-capacity magazines into law! This was a victory six years in the making.

* 10th Annual Luncheon

We will be celebrating tremendous GVP progress at our 10th annual luncheon on Wednesday, April 27th. After two years of virtual luncheons, we are excited to return in-person in Seattle, Washington.

* March for our Lives

Today marks the 4th anniversary since we came together across the country and Marched for our Lives. We’re proud of what we’ve achieved since, but there is still so much work ahead.

We need a fair-minded justice on the Supreme Court who will protect the rights of everyone, not just the gun lobby. Over the last three days, Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson has proven she is the right person for the job.
