Friend,

If you recall, earlier this month the Democrats running Beacon Hill killed a Republican-sponsored proposal that would have given Massachusetts commuters some temporary relief at the gas pump by waiving the state gas tax until the price per-gallon drops below $3.70 again.

Thankfully, Republicans haven't given up, and are redoubling their efforts to lend a hand to Massachusetts commuters and truckers, even as Democrats like Mark Cusack of Braintree have dismissed the proposal as "a gimmick." Recently, House Speaker Ron Mariano called efforts to ease the pain at the pump a "stunt."

Now comes news that even "blue" Connecticut, a state whose branches are all dominated by Democrats (including the governor's office), is suspending its gas tax collection.

Only in a state like Massachusetts can efforts to help out commuters and truckers hit hard by the Democrats' own policies to cripple America's energy independence be denounced as a "gimmick" or a "stunt."
We believe the Democratic majority on Beacon Hill is operating in an entirely different world from Massachusetts citizens and is overdue for a wakeup call in November.

We stand committed to giving them exactly that, but our growing list of candidates need your help.

I'm hoping you'll chip in with any amount you can.
