Team, this week is the 12th anniversary of the passage of the Affordable Care Act, landmark legislation that provided health care for millions.

The changes the ACA made have been life-saving, forcing insurers to cover those with pre-existing conditions, expanding Medicaid to those who need it, and many more positive things.

Despite that progress, Republicans are once again calling for a repeal of the ACA, including as recently as this month!

Senator Rick Scott’s GOP platform includes a full repeal of the ACA, and several of his fellow senators quickly echoed their desire to kick millions off their health insurance immediately.

That type of action is cruel at any point, but doing so as the world continues to deal with a worldwide pandemic and a virus whose long-term health effects are unknown is really extreme.

We need to protect our Democratic majorities, which means we have to make sure every single AZ Dem on the ballot this fall wins re-election – and we flip the seats we have an opportunity to flip.
